Help Make Nottingham Roar-some This Summer

This summer will see Nottingham put on the natural history map, as the city welcomes a world-exclusive collection of 26 dinosaur exhibits to Wollaton Hall and Nottingham Lakeside Arts.

The huge Mamenchisaurus will be the tallest mounted dinosaur skeleton ever seen in the UK, and will stand alongside other specimens such as the Gigantoraptor (the largest bird-like dinosaur ever found) which have never been seen outside of Asia before. These impressive 3D mounted skeletons will be joined by replica and genuine fossils, two of which are type specimens, meaning they are the best examples to exist anywhere in the world.

Together the exclusive exhibits will take visitors on an exciting journey through time. With interactive displays, workshops and activities, the exhibition will explain the fascinating story of how dinosaurs evolved from the scaly ground shakers we recognise from childhood to the birds we see in our gardens today. Did you know for example, that the closest living relative to a dinosaur is a chicken?

Launching on 1 July, there are a number of ways that businesses can support the exhibition, champion Nottingham as a location for world-class natural history and help to build a dinosaur legacy for local children and families.

Tickets are available to buy now, from www.dinosaursofchina.co.uk and there are also opportunities to sponsor the exhibition, gaining exclusive access for employees and guests as a result. http://www.dinosaursofchina.co.uk/media/9321/sponsor-guide-feb2017.pdf.

A crowdfunding campaign has been launched to help fund a number of additional resources at Nottingham Lakeside Arts, including an animatronic baby dinosaur and permanent ‘dino-dig’ on the Lakeside site. Rewards include exclusive prints, seminars with dinosaur experts and interactive workshops for the whole family. Visit http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/dinosaurs-of-china to find out more.
