Birchover open new apartment-hotels in Derby and West Bridgford

The Birchover Residences have opened a string of new apartment-hotels in Derby in recent months. The newest property is Birchover Friar Gate and opened in March 2017. Birchover Friar Gate is located just north of the iconic Friar Gate Bridge at 64 Friar Gate and comprises 11 one and two bedroom apartments. Free parking, free Wifi and weekly housekeeping combine to make this the perfect place for business guests to stay short- or long-term.

Birchover have also opened apartment-hotels in central Derby at 7 Friar Gate (with the only four bedroom apartments available for corporate stays in the city), Liversage House on Nottingham Road and at Dalby House just off Ashbourne Road.

Husband and wife team Carl and Lisa Bridge own the business and Carl says “Birchover has been operating in Derby for 20 years and we are proud to have opened so many new properties in recent months. It is a show of our commitment to Derby and is made possible by the wonderful experiences that our staff provide for guests and the growing number of clients we have. We will be opening more apartment-hotels in the city in the next twelve months to cope with the rapid growth in demand for business guest stays”.

The Birchover Residences have an enviable reputation. One of their hotels was named by Trip Advisor as the 22nd best hotel in the UK, out of over 3,300 hotels. Several of their properties are ranked in the top 3 in Derby and Nottingham on Booking.com and Trip Advisor. And The Residences have won several awards in the last couple of years for criteria as diverse as service excellence, commitment to the community, University of Derby employer of the year and outstanding personal contribution.

The Birchover Residences Bridgford Hall opens in April and, according to Carl, will be “the jewel in our crown”. Bridgford Hall is situated in the grounds of Bridgford Park in West Bridgford and has undergone a £2.1m refurbishment to create 7 magnificent suites. Two wedding ceremony rooms on the ground floor mean that Birchover are already filling up fast with bookings from bridal couples and their guests. Furthermore, as Carl states, “Local people and businesses have welcomed us because they’ve said there was a real lack of quality accommodation in such a nice area. We are getting lots of enquiries from people coming to Nottingham on business, from people visiting family and friends in West Bridgford, from spectators coming to test matches at Trent Bridge and especially from couples wanting a romantic break, because of the beautiful apartments we will have”.
