Nottingham Partners Members’ Lunch – Friday 22 September 2017

This lunch will be held on Friday 22 September 2017 and starts at 12 noon.

We are delighted that this lunch is being supported by the NTU Employability Team and can confirm that it will be held in the Oak Room at St James Hotel.

Our first speaker will be Steve Wooler, Chief Executive of BWB Group. Steve will be speaking about how his business has grown over the past 27 years from a Nottingham start-up to its recent acquisition by global transportation conglomerate CAF Group. He will be discussing the evolution of BWB, including its MBO in 2008 prior to ‘the crash’, and its subsequent highly successful restructure that made it a target for new Spanish owners.

He will then be followed by Paul Russ and Donna Close. Paul is the Chief Executive/Artistic Director of Dance4, Chairman of Nottingham’s Cultural Strategy Partnership and Chair of the Board bidding for Nottingham to be European Capital of Culture 2023. Paul will be sharing the board’s plans and vision for Nottingham’s bid.

Donna Close, Associate Director of Festivals and Events International, is part of the Executive Bid team presenting Nottingham’s bid to the European Capital of Culture 2023. Donna will be sharing her insights of Nottingham’s potential and the progress of the bid writing ready for submission at the end of October.

Georgina Phillips from our sponsors, NTU’s Employability Team will also be saying a few words on the day.

Nottingham Partners Members’ Lunch – Friday 20 October 2017

This lunch will be held on Friday 20 October 2017 and starts at 12 noon.

We are delighted that this lunch is being supported by Impression and can confirm that it will be held at Notts County FC.

Our first speaker will be Alan Hardy, Chairman & Owner of Notts County FC and Paragon Interiors Group Plc. Alan will be discussing his very successful career and future vision for Notts County FC.

Our second speaker will be Vikas Arora, Senior Business Manager, Bing (Microsoft’s search engine) who will be speaking about the future of search and how businesses need to prepare.

In addition, Hugh White, Nottingham City Council’s Director for Sport and Culture, will unveil ‘Hoodwinked: a twist on the tale.’ This unique world-class sculpture trail will be the biggest event in Nottingham next summer, transforming Nottingham into the playground of the mischievous Robin Hood – local legend and master of disguise. Find out how to join this citywide celebration, which will bring together businesses, professional artists, schools and the community; boost the economic, social and cultural life of the city, and raise awareness and funds for Nottinghamshire Hospice.

Finally, Aaron Dicks, the founder and MD of our sponsors, Impression, will be saying a few words on the day. Together with his business partner Tom, and a team of more than 30 digital experts, Aaron has helped businesses of all shapes and sizes to grow online.
