Nottingham Partners Business Breakfast Event – Wednesday 28 February 2018

We are delighted to be heading to Sherwood Forest for our first county networking breakfast event.

We are proud to have Center Parcs as a member of Nottingham Partners. Martin Dalby is the Chief Executive of one the world’s most successful leisure brands and has agreed to hold a Q&A session with Mike Sassi, Editor of Nottingham Post, about the fascinating story of the brand’s success. It’s great that they are headquartered right here in Nottinghamshire and will be hosts for our event.

We will also hear from Derek Higton, Service Director at Nottinghamshire County Council. Derek will be updating members on the success of the Tour of Britain and will be sharing the economic impact data about the Nottinghamshire stage of the Tour.

Refreshments will be available from 8:30am with the main event starting promptly at 9:00am. We anticipate that the event will conclude around 10:30am.

Nottingham Partners Members’ Lunch – Friday 23 March 2018

This lunch will be held on Friday 23 March 2018 and starts at 12 noon.

We are delighted that this lunch is being sponsored by Eversheds Sutherland and can confirm that it will be held at Alea Nottingham.

Our first speaker will be Geoff Love, CEO of Esendex. Esendex helps over 30,000 businesses around the world transform their customer and staff communications. Geoff will be explaining how they went from £3m to £75m turnover in less than 7 years, to become Europe’s number one.

Our second speaker will be Mark Chivers, Director of Estates for Boots UK.  Boots are synonymous with Nottingham and have been here for 170 years, driven in the early years by the entrepreneurial spirit of Jesse Boot. Now part of global giants Walgreens Boots Alliance, the business will welcome Sebastian James later this year as Senior Vice-President and President and Managing Director of Boots. The business has the pioneering ambition to improve the health and wellbeing of the next generation, and the site in Nottingham will see the creation of a brand new and highly sustainable community, bringing together commercial and residential uses for the land.

The Boots site, which is part of the Nottingham Enterprise Zone, received outline planning consent for some 900,000 sq ft of new commercial space and up to 675 new homes and enabling works are now nearing completion.

Nottingham Partners Members’ Lunch – Friday 25 May 2018

This lunch will be held on Friday 25 May 2018 and starts at 12 noon.

We are delighted that this lunch is being sponsored by Crowne Plaza Nottingham and can confirm that it will be held at their hotel on Wollaton Street in Nottingham.

Our first speaker will be Paul Norbury, East Midlands Office Senior Partner of PwC.

Our second speaker will be Steve Thomas, Managing Director, Strategy, Experian.

Steve is Managing Director, Strategy, responsible for business strategy, development and growth across Experian’s UK&I regions. Steve has accountability for Experian’s data lab innovation and core M&A activity. Steve has been with Experian since 2007, occupying leadership roles in both strategy and sales in that time. Steve undertakes a number of voluntary posts as Non-Executive Director for Nottingham University Hospitals Trust in the NHS, Non-Executive Director for the UK Government-funded data sharing accelerator ‘Digital Catapult’.

The General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Nottingham, David Clements will also be saying a few words on the day.

Social Event – An afternoon at the Races! – Thursday 14 June 2018

This social event is an excellent opportunity to entertain clients or staff at a fun afternoon of social interaction and sport.

The afternoon will start with reception drinks followed by a two-course lunch served in a private box reserved for Nottingham Partners members and their guests.

Before lunch, a tipster will talk us through the racecard and hopefully highlight a few winners!

Our Christmas drinks reception will be held on Wednesday 5 December 2018 and starts at 5pm until 7pm.
