Paul Brown

Q. Are you a regular runner?

A. Yes I am, I run 4 miles 2 or three times a week , so this change in distance will be a great opportunity for me to do something different.

Q. How are you honing your training, are you doing anything different in preparation?

A. Not really, just a few speed sprints to the pub in my village and back. I hope not to pause on the way! I am in the school of thought that if I keep running up until the day of the Challenge, it will just be another day’s run. There is no point getting too stressed about it all!

Q. Aside from the vigorous training, are there any other ways you are preparing?

A. It gives me a chance to focus on a completely different pace so will require a different mental approach. It’s a great thing to take part in so I’m just going to enjoy the experience on the day.

Q. Have you got any personal goals to beat?

A. Yes I do, however I am playing my cards close to my chest! If I meet my goal I’ll probably share, if not then I might stay quiet!

Q. Why have you entered the Corporate Challenge?

A. I have entered to be a part of something for the city and I want to support Nottingham Means Business in taking an active role in Nottingham’s thriving business community.

The funds raised by the Nottingham Means Business team will be donated to CityCare, a staff-led enterprise, which works across Nottingham to provide extensive health services specifically in the home but also in health centres across the city.

CityCare gave a high level of service to Jim Taylor, the founder of NMB who sadly passed away earlier this year, to donate to the team please visit: http://www.gofundme.com/cl7auk
