Speakers make an ‘Impression’ at our October lunch

A big thank you to members and guests who attended last week’s lunch at Notts County Football Club (NCFC), which was kindly sponsored by Impression.

Proceedings started with a photo opportunity on the pitch before Paul Southby took to the stage to get things underway, which began with an interview with Alan Hardy, owner and chairman at NCFC.

Sponsors and speakers celebrate in the dugout at NCFC.

Alan provided a unique insight into his life and career to date, what makes a business successful, and some of the lessons learnt from taking ownership of not just one, but two football clubs.

Aaron Dicks from our sponsors Impression followed with an update on what’s new in search and as business owners what we need to be thinking about in cultivating an online presence.

Next we heard from Vikas Arora, senior search lead at Microsoft who had travelled up from London to share further insights on how businesses can best position themselves online to be found by search engines.

The final presentation of the day was from Stephen Chartres from Nottingham City Council who explained more about Hoodwinked and even brought with him one of the ‘Robin’ Hood sculptures.
