Accessibility Nottingham, Digital Meet-Up.

The free Accessibility Nottingham Meetup is back on Tuesday 15th October at 6:30PM at The Playwright 38 in the city centre.

The meetup is focused on raising awareness for digital inclusion and this month will welcome Lucy Ruck from the Business Disability Forum (BDF), speaking about the work of the BDF, the Technology Taskforce and providing attendees with toolkits and resources that can help make your company inclusive.

Her talk will also focus on the Accessible Technology Charter and how this can benefit your company and encouraging Nottingham’s businesses to get involved in promoting inclusivity by signing the charter alongside Nottingham companies UNiDAYS and HeX Productions.

Alongside Lucy, the meet-up will bring some musical entertainment from acoustic artist This is the Sea who will also be speaking about mental health and how it’s OK not to be OK.

As always, the Accessibility Nottingham meetup aims to bring together knowledgeable speakers, leading professionals, web developers, designers, content writers, as well as people with personal experience of disabilities, in order to promote a real change towards an online world.

In the past we have welcomed presenters from disability charity Scope, the BBC and Shaw Trust.

Once again, we will offer all attendees with free pizza, a free drink and loads of free knowledge.
