Meetings and Events Industry given the go ahead to resume from 1st August

We are delighted that from the 1st August the Meetings and Event Industry can finally get back up and running again.  With government guidelines now firmly in place, meetings of up to 30 people can take place along with on-site venue viewings. As of the 1st October larger meetings will be permitted.

The government guidance can be found here.

If your business is planning a future event, the Meet in Nottingham team offer a free venue finding service. We are keen to ensure we all support our local conference and event venues, and now more than ever we would ask you to consider booking any future events/meetings/conferences locally. As a direct result of Covid-19, these businesses will rely initially on the local domestic market until such a time as the international market re-opens for business.

Guest safety is paramount and all venues have been working hard and investing considerable time and money to ensure all guidelines are followed.  Some Nottingham venues have achieved the national safety standard “We’re Good to Go” which ensures the governments social distancing and necessary safety measures are being adhered to, along with other governing bodies assurance marks, including HBAA and UK Hospitality.

Businesses have adapted to new ways of working, so having the confidence to hold internal team/business “catch up” sessions, catching up with new clients, hosting seminars or training workshops is important – we know the industry is ready to do business again!
