Q. Are you a regular runner?

A. Of sorts, I stumble around the local golf course most mornings with my dogs. It’s nothing too serious but it’s good for both the dogs and I.

Q. How are you honing your training, are you doing anything different in preparation?

Usually I allow my dogs to drag me around on my morning run. For the next month I will be attempting to run unaided, it will be interesting to say the least!

Q. Aside from the vigorous training, are there any other ways you are preparing?

I have put myself on an intensive cheesecake diet to build up energy reserves. It may sound enjoyable, but I can assure you it’s hard work.

Q. Have you got any personal goals to beat?

The only goal that I have is not to be picked up by the sweeper van half way round… I hope that’s not too much to ask for!

Q. Why have you entered the Corporate Challenge?

It’s always good to have a goal to aim for when trying to get fit. It’s also a great opportunity for me to take an active role in the business community and meet people outside of the office.

The funds raised by the Nottingham Means Business team will be donated to CityCare, a staff-led enterprise, which works across Nottingham to provide extensive health services specifically in the home but also in health centres across the city.

CityCare gave a high level of service to Jim Taylor, the founder of NMB who sadly passed away earlier this year, to donate to the team please visit: http://www.gofundme.com/cl7auk
