Archway Learning Trust

Formed in April 2014, Archway Learning Trust is a growing family of schools based in and around Nottingham and Derby, made up of both Church of England academies and schools of no designated religious character. It currently educates over ¼ of the children in Nottingham City.

Archway Learning Trust is passionately committed to raising aspirations and improving life chances of young people. We are a fully inclusive family of learners, providing nurture and an outstanding educational experience for all to grow and flourish. All our schools believe passionately in the transformational power of education for each individual, and that this is enhanced through collaborative working between our academies.

We believe school to school support in overcoming barriers for learning, reducing workload and building our family, is central to our vision as a Multi Academy Trust.

Our central team provides Trust-wide improvement and support services, shares best practice, and delivers the strategic development. We encourage all of our academies to retain a high level of autonomy and individual character, understanding their own local context so as to best serve their local community.

Archway Learning Trust currently comprises: Bluecoat Aspley Academy (including Sixth Form), Bluecoat Wollaton Academy; Bluecoat Beechdale Academy; The Nottingham Emmanuel School (including Sixth Form); Bluecoat Primary Academy; The Long Eaton School; Lees Brook Community School; Merrill Academy and the Bluecoat SCIIT Alliance (School Centred Initial Teacher Training). The Trust will also be opening its first brand-new free school, Bluecoat Trent Academy in September 2021.
