CityFibre is a driving force in the UK telecoms industry, bringing transformational digital change. It is investing up to £4 billion across the country to bring comprehensive full fibre access to up to eight million premises in towns and cities across the UK.
Construction work on Nottingham’s £117million next-generation full fibre network commenced in January 2021. The build is estimated to take up to six years and once completed the project will bring almost all residents and businesses in the city within reach of the future-proof network, enabling access to reliable gigabit-speed broadband services.
In addition, CityFibre provides full fibre access for businesses and public assets while also supporting 5G rollouts across the country.
Through its nationwide Gigabit City Investment Programme, CityFibre aims to create around 10,000 jobs, supporting a new generation of network construction workers skilled in the deployment and maintenance of the digital networks of the future.
