Marsh: Grochowski Architects

Based in Nottingham, but working throughout the British Isles, we are a team of sensitive designers who like to work with context and place. We profess to a questioning and responsive approach to architecture which finds us listening and designing closely with both our clients and those who are the eventual users of our buildings and places.

We have worked across multiple building sectors but are keen to expand our range of knowledge and experience through tackling new approaches to building type, environmental design and material use. All of our schemes aim to minimise their environmental impact through the use of ‘Passive’ design techniques and the inclusion of ‘Active’ technologies.

Having practised like this for several decades we have extensive experience in delivering successful Eco Projects and, we continuously aim to implement innovative ideas. Our goal at Marsh:Grochowski Architects is to design and deliver imaginative, sensitive and finely crafted environments that are enjoyable and consider the health and wellbeing of the users.

In more than 30 years, our award-winning practice has developed a broad range of skills across a wide spectrum of building types and environments, but have been able to maintain a personal and focused approach to our work.

In various team combinations, we have undertaken numerous projects and handled projects from small domestic extensions to multi-use urban developments. Our expertise carries through from developing concepts to final completion and beyond, delivering projects that are kind to the planet, satisfy our clients’ needs and look good doing it!
