WHO WE ARE
Nottingham BID is a not for profit company, privately funded by its members. These members, which total over 800, are businesses and organisations in the retail, leisure, office and education sectors which have a rateable value of £25,000 or more and which are within a defined BID zone in Nottingham city centre.
The BID has a board of directors, drawn from the various sectors that it represents, and a small operational team who deliver its activities.
WHAT WE DO
The BID’s aim is to put Nottingham firmly on the map as a city of choice for shopping, leisure, work and study by delivering a range of initiatives and marketing activities, often working in partnership with other organisations in the city, in order to increase footfall and spend. These are delivered through the dedicated It’s in Nottingham consumer brand.
The activities include a major fashion event, food and drink initiative, Independents initiative, Christmas campaign and special offers and discounts.
The BID delivers and supports initiatives to create a pleasant, safe and accessible environment for visitors and businesses. These include support for the Street Pastors, additional cleansing, transport and parking offers and schemes to improve the urban landscape.
The BID is also an advocate for business, promoting and representing the interests of its members.
