A proud day for Nottingham as our revamped station officially opens

Nottingham officially opened its new world-class transport hub this week, creating a state-of-the-art location for travel at the heart of the city and building even stronger connections between Nottingham and the rest of the UK. The opening ceremony was led by David Horne, Managing Director of East Midlands Trains with special guests, the Rt Hon Sir William McAlpine, chairman of the Railway Heritage Trust, and Sir John Peace, the Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire.

Dignitaries and guests were welcomed by cheering crowds of Nottinghamshire children and music from the Robin Hood Youth Orchestra.

A big congratulations to all of those involved in this fantastic project.
