“By being a member, we gain access to good local events that are very professionally run with some great speakers. These events are always good for networking and catching up with friends in the local business community, as well as key figures in the public sector. The professional nature of the events means that we are proud to be connected to these as sponsors”. Neil Harrison, Associate Director, Arup
“Attending the networking events is a must for us. The topics presented at the lunch are always relevant to the local business community and promote networking in a relaxed and positive environment. We have many clients and prospective clients who are members and more recently, have gained a number of new suppliers directly through the networking events. We will be sponsoring our second lunch this year and will be looking to make this part of our annual plan going forward.” Stephen Mason, Managing Director, Mason Infotech
The outbreak of Coronavirus has had an impact on our event schedule for the year and regrettably we have had to postpone our normal programme of Member Lunches. As soon as it is safe for us all to meet again and adhering to social distancing rules, we will be back with a full event programme for our members. In the meantime, we are holding online events via Zoom.
Keep an eye on this page for news of our exciting events schedule for 2021.
If you have any ideas or suggestions for future events, please let Natalie Williams know.
We were very fortunate that despite the pandemic, we have been able to hold seven events during 2020. Please have a read of the blogs below for further details.
Weavers Wine Tasting and Networking Event – 24 March 2021
We are delighted to invite you to our first social event of the year – a wine tasting event with Weavers, from the comfort of your own home, being held on Wednesday 24 March at 6pm.
Philip Trease the MD of Weavers is the fifth generation of his family to run the business. Established in 1844 you’ll hear about some of the history of one of Nottingham’s oldest businesses whilst sampling some of their wines. Philip will talk about the past, present and the future of the business then lead us through the wine tasting alongside our willing tasters, Chairman, Paul Southby and Head of Inward Investment, Lorraine Baggs.
Philip has selected three wines for our guests to try on the evening, all of which can be purchased directly from Philip via this bespoke website for Nottingham Partners. If you would like to join the wine tasting, then please buy one, two or all three bottles and have a glass or two on hand on the 24 March. All orders for the wine need to be made by the 17 March to guarantee delivery in time for our event.
We hope the evening will bring a flavour of our usual, in person, lunches to our online Zoom events and offer a chance to network and socialise with the Nottingham business community.
In addition to purchasing your wine, you will need to book your place at the event which will give you the link to the networking event on the evening. The meeting will take place over Zoom so please email Natalie Williams (email@example.com) for the registration link.
If you don’t want to join in on the wine tasting but would still like to come along, please make sure you sign up to the Zoom link.
We very much hope that you will want to join us at this special wine tasting networking event and look forward to seeing you there.
