The outbreak of Coronavirus has had an impact on our event schedule for the year and regrettably we have had to postpone our normal programme of Member Lunches. As soon as it is safe for us all to meet again and adhering to social distancing rules, we will be back with a full event programme for our members.  In the meantime, we are holding online events via Zoom.

The Future of Tourism in Nottingham via zoom on Monday 24th May at 1pm.

We are delighted to invite you to our next virtual event on the ‘Future of Tourism’ in Nottingham on Monday 24th May at 1pm.

Whilst much of Nottingham’s economy is beginning to return to a new normal, recovery for the tourism, hospitality and leisure sector has taken significantly longer.   We will be bringing together leading industry figures from across Nottinghamshire and beyond to discuss the work that is being done to secure the industry’s long-term future here in Nottingham.  With businesses continuing to navigate through the Government’s re-opening roadmap, we will also be looking at the issues impacting tourism and the latest consumer trends.

Our panel will be made up of:

  • Sara Blair-Manning, CEO of Nottingham Castle
  • Lyndsey Turner-Swift, Head of England Planning and Delivery for VisitEngland
  • Richard Johal, Chairman of Nottingham Hospitality Association
  • Annette Thornley, Business Development Manager for Visit Nottinghamshire

The event will be compered by our Chairman, Paul Southby and starts promptly at 1pm, concluding by 2pm.
