GREAT Festival of Creativity – 2 – 4 March 2015

Promising to be the biggest China – UK event of 2015, the GREAT Festival of Creativity will be held in Shanghai from 2 – 4 March 2015. This UKTI event will create dialog between British and Chinese businesses. Although it is rapidly becoming the world’s largest economy, creativity and innovation in China is lagging behind. This poses a fantastic opportunity for British businesses to capitalise on this opening and work more closely with China to do what we do best.

The GREAT Festival will be opened by Prince William – making it the first Royal visit in 20 years – and will be attended by a host of globally recognised business leaders. In short, if you are trading or planning to trade with China this is your chance to be at the most prestigious China-UK event of the year and network with over 400 top Chinese businesses and investors.

Nottingham City Council (NCC) will be attending the GREAT Festival to help raise the city’s profile. We may have only a fraction of Shanghai’s population but we punch well above its weight when it comes to business, innovation and creativity.

If you are interested in attending, Rob Avery-Phipps, NCC’s China Relations Officer will be happy to help identify Chinese businesses your company could collaborate with and contact them to set up meetings during the festival.

If you are not able to attend the event but would like an opportunity to ‘test the waters’, NCC is putting together a Nottingham Business and Investment document which, on one hand, will show that Nottingham means business and on the other, act as a catalyst for investment and business enquiries for your business.
