Who We Are

Futures is a not-for-profit social enterprise that aims to improve the lives of local people and provide intensive support to those who need it most. We play a transformative role and deliver a real socio-economic impact, tackling deprivation, promoting social inclusion, and creating opportunities for all throughout the communities we serve.

Through our three central values of making a difference, having passion, and doing the right thing, we strive to support those in need.

What We Do

We blend nationally commissioned programmes with local initiatives to create a customised path for our customers. Our ambition is to empower disadvantaged individuals and communities, helping them improve their education and job prospects in collaboration with our local partners.

As the largest provider of employment and careers services in the East Midlands, we’re uniquely positioned to drive the local skills and employment agenda.

We can support local businesses and employers with all their recruitment, skills, workforce development, and social value requirements. 

We deliver our services through four key strands:

• Careers Advice – providing high quality and impartial advice, information and guidance to support individuals on their lifelong careers journey
• Employment Support – offering a range of support options, including skills training, job application and interview preparation, and health and wellbeing support to help unemployed people start working and match them with local employers
• Targeted Support – providing intensive and specialist support to young people and vulnerable adults, addressing their barriers to entering education, employment or training
• Training – creating learning pathways in areas of local employer or skills needs, from pre-entry and through Level 1 to Level 3, supporting individuals and employers to address the skills gap and remove barriers to better paid work.
