Bar, restaurant and entertainment venue Binks Yard and finer dining restaurant Cleaver & Wake – complete with wedding and private event space, Upstairs at Cleaver & Wake – mark the first venues to open at The Island Quarter. With chef patron Laurence Henry at the helm, Cleaver & Wake offers an elevated dining experience with an emphasis on quality seasonal British ingredients. Its artfully crafted cocktail menu features a range of premium tipples and interesting pairings developed by the venue’s team of experienced mixologists.
Meanwhile, based by the canal side, Binks Yard is an all-day food, drinks and entertainment destination offering a large selection of craft beer and cocktails as well as wood-fired pizzas and tacos. Its outdoor plaza boasts the East Midlands’ largest outdoor screen as well as a state-of-the-art stage and sound system, a drinks kiosk and a meat smoker. The venue offers a fantastic selection of entertainment each week including vinyl soul nights, weekly Tuesday taco nights, live performances on the stage and more.
