Shaping the Future: an opportunity to influence the emerging Industrial Strategy

With the imminent triggering of Article 50 as the UK prepares to leave the EU, the current political and policy landscape is changing at a rate few would have anticipated twelve months ago.

As part of the Government’s plan for a successful UK outside of the European Union, it is now consulting the business community on the development of a new Industrial Strategy, which consists of ten ‘pillars’ of growth that will form the backbone of our long-term economic vitality.

Running parallel to this, the Government is also working on a new Midlands Engine Strategy, with additional measures for growth due to be announced in the Spring Budget.

It is essential that this work is informed by real business experience. With this in mind, Nottingham Means Business has joined forces with the East Midlands Chamber and Lilian Greenwood MP to hold a business consultation session in which the strengths, assets and opportunities that exist within the county’s business community will be explored to provide an authoritative local response.

This session is therefore aimed at all business leaders; and will feature an interactive facilitated discussion.
